The route south on the A5
From the airport we join the A5 at the Frankfurter Kreuz and head south past Darmstadt, Heidelberg and the Walldorf interchange, then on past Bruchsal and Karlsruhe. Ettlingen is just beyond Karlsruhe-Süd. On a normal day the trip takes 85 to 100 minutes.
The stretch between Darmstadt and Walldorf often has roadworks. We keep an eye on live traffic and pick the quickest way, but the price never changes because of a jam.
