Bonn to Frankfurt Airport – Private Transfer Instead of a Taxi

  • Fixed price, no meter
  • V-Class
  • Up to 7 passengers
  • Child seats
  • 24/7
  • Free cancellation up to 60 min before

A metered taxi from Bonn to Frankfurt Airport covers around 165 kilometres, and the final fare depends on traffic along the A3. Our Bonn to Frankfurt Airport transfer removes the uncertainty: you see a fixed price before you book, and it applies to the whole vehicle.

Your chauffeur picks you up in the city centre, Bad Godesberg, Beuel or Poppelsdorf and drives you in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class with up to seven seats straight to your terminal. The same service works in reverse when you land in Frankfurt.

The route

We usually join the A3 via the A565 or A59 and head south past the Siebengebirge hills, through the Westerwald and the Taunus to the airport. The drive takes about 100 to 120 minutes. From Bad Godesberg or the Rhein-Sieg district, the A61 via Koblenz can sometimes be quicker, and our drivers choose the best option.

When you arrive in Frankfurt, we track your flight and wait up to 60 minutes after landing for free.

Space and quiet in the V-Class

  • Individual seats for up to seven passengers
  • Large luggage area for holiday or relocation baggage
  • Child seats and baby capsules on request
  • A quiet cabin for working or resting

UN city, ministries and research

Bonn is a United Nations city: around 25 UN organisations work on the UN Campus by the Rhine, including the Climate Change Secretariat. Several federal ministries maintain their seat in Bonn, Deutsche Telekom and DHL Group have their headquarters here, and the University of Bonn is one of Germany's universities of excellence. Delegations, diplomats and researchers often fly via Frankfurt, and we provide name-board pickups and invoices for organisations.

Families from Bonn and nearby towns such as Königswinter and Sankt Augustin use our service for long-haul trips when their flight does not depart from Cologne/Bonn.

Experience Bonn

Bonn is Ludwig van Beethoven's birthplace, and his family home in Bonngasse is now a museum. The Museum Mile, with the House of History, the Bundeskunsthalle and the Kunstmuseum, recalls Bonn's time as the West German capital. In spring, cherry blossoms turn the old town pink, and from the riverbank you can see the Siebengebirge and the Drachenfels rock.

We are also happy to take guests from the airport directly to a hotel on the Rhine or up to the Petersberg.

Taxi, train or private transfer?

A metered taxi is hard to budget over this distance, and the train usually means getting to Siegburg or Cologne first and then changing to an ICE. For families and groups, a private transfer at a fixed price is more comfortable and easier to plan, as the cost is shared by everyone.

Events in Bonn: when we leave a little earlier

Some fixed dates change traffic in Bonn noticeably. During "Rhein in Flammen" in May, the riverbanks and bridges are packed in the evening; in September, Pützchens Markt in Beuel attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors; and during the Beethovenfest many city-centre hotels are fully booked. If your flight falls on one of these dates, we plan the route around the busy areas and may pick you up a bit earlier.

Large UN conferences on the campus next to the Langer Eugen tower can also close streets in the former government quarter. Just tell us where you need to go, and your driver will confirm the exact meeting point with you in advance by phone or message.

Long-haul arrivals: what to expect

Many guests heading to Bonn arrive on overnight flights from Africa, Asia or the Americas. After immigration and baggage claim, you simply look for your driver with the name board. If you need a short stop on the way – for example to buy a SIM card or snacks at the airport – let your driver know. The ride itself is quiet enough to rest, and most passengers arrive in Bonn noticeably fresher than after a train journey with a change.
