From the airport we drive south on the A5 past Darmstadt and Heidelberg to the Walldorf interchange, then east on the A6 to Heilbronn. The trip usually takes 90 to 110 minutes. Heilbronn: wine, science and the Neckar
The Kilianskirche with its Renaissance tower dominates the city centre, and the town hall on the market square features an ornate astronomical clock. The experimenta, one of Germany's largest science centres, stands right on the Neckar. Planning your departure
For long-haul flights from Frankfurt, we suggest a pickup in Heilbronn about four and a half to five hours before departure; for European flights, around three and a half hours.
