The journey north

Kassel for visitors
The Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, crowned by the Hercules statue and famous for its water features, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013. On selected days from May to October, water flows down its cascades in a spectacular display. The GRIMMWELT museum celebrates the Brothers Grimm, who collected many of their fairy tales in Kassel, and the Karlsaue is a large Baroque park with the Orangerie palace.

In the V-Class, children have their own seats, and the face-to-face seating lets parents keep an eye on them. Many families use the drive to check documents or download boarding passes, so the holiday starts calmly rather than on a busy platform.
